Pain Relief Experience That Counts
In order to be a Physician Anesthesiologist (M.D. or D.O.) you must have at least 12 years of training including, but not limited to:
4 YEARS OF COLLEGE
4 YEARS OF MEDICAL SCHOOL
4 YEARS OF ANESTHESIA SPECIALTY TRAININGcommonly referred to as Anesthesia Residency
12 Years Education.
Many anesthesiologists continue their Anesthesia Specialty training after finishing their Anesthesia Residency. This additional training is usually one or more years devoted to Pediatric Anesthesia, Cardiac Anesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine, in Multidisciplinary Pain Management, or another area of clinical anesthesia or anesthesia research.
N.A.A.’s Physician anesthesiologists are responsible for the safety and well-being of patients before, during and after surgery. Additionally, our physicians are skilled in the use of a variety of regional anesthesia techniques and post-surgical pain management blocks.
